Board Members in Action: Mike & Emily Reich Rally Support for All For Kids

When Mike and Emily Reich relocated from New York City to Los Angeles in 2021, they weren’t just returning to Emily’s hometown; they were also planting new roots in the nonprofit community.  

Because of Emily’s background in family law and Mike’s background in finance, they were uniquely positioned to help make an impact within the greater Los Angeles community. Introduced to All For Kids by fellow Board member Nathan True-Daniels, Mike and Emily quickly found a shared passion for our mission- to nurture child well-being through prevention, collaboration, and compassion. We were very lucky to welcome them aboard. Emily joined the Board of Directors, and Mike joined the Board of Trustees. 

From the start, they jumped in with both feet. While they navigated the final months of pregnancy and welcomed their second child, Mike also reimagined and relaunched our Young Professionals (YP) Group. Under his leadership, the YP Group has become a dynamic network of emerging leaders committed to fundraising, professional growth, and learning about nonprofit board service. Recent events have included a comedy night with Baron Davis’ BIG group, a mixer at Wexler’s Deli, and an upcoming Pickleball Tournament on August 10 that’s already generating buzz! 

Most recently, Mike and Emily harnessed their passion for All For Kids into a personal giving campaign with their friends and family using our “Hope in a Box” platform. Their goal? Raise critical funds and awareness in support of our programs—and they delivered. By sharing their fundraising page with friends, colleagues, and family, the Reichs raised nearly $14,000 , including nearly $10,000 from new donors. One of these generous supporters was so inspired, they’ve scheduled a tour of Magnolia Place to learn more about our impact firsthand. 

Mike and Emily’s story is a testament to the power of community and what’s possible when dedicated leaders bring their personal and professional networks into the mission.
