Our Family Stabilization Program provides emergency motel assistance, temporary rental assistance, help paying for utilities, and gift cards for basic resources like food, clothing, hygiene items, and transportation.
No mother should have to choose between protecting her children from domestic violence or being able to pay rent and put food on the table.
Unfortunately, without your help, there are mothers in Southern California like Laura who will have to make that choice.
Laura and her two children faced a severe dilemma after a domestic violence incident with the children’s father. She knew she had to leave the father in order to keep her children and herself safe. She also knew that despite working hard she was not earning enough money to provide for her kids on her own.
So, Laura came to All For Kids for emergency assistance.
Without the support of caring people like you, Laura and mothers like her would have to choose between protecting their children from domestic violence or being able to pay rent and put food on the table. Fortunately, with your support, we were able to provide Laura with temporary rental assistance along with gift cards for essentials like food, clothing, and hygiene items.
In order to help the family recover from the domestic violence incident, we also helped them get case management, legal advocacy, and counseling services.
Unfortunately, there are many families facing similar dilemmas today.
Last year, friends like you made it possible to provide this emergency assistance to 430 people like Laura and her kids. This year, the need is much greater.
